It is evident from the graph that overall, the fifteen – step process begins with catching fishes and ends with transporting them for the final sale.

At the first stage, the pre-canning process is undertaken to identify the water spot where fishes are netted from. The very first step is fishes are caught in the net and placed in the cargo vessel. Then, they are frozen before being uploaded, they are moved for preparation and steam cooking. Once they are cooked as per the set standard, they are cooled off for filleting. Finally, they are filled in the can, sealed and sterilized. The last process is to label the can before being moved to the storage for the final
dispatch to the supermarket.
