Short Stories – Overthinker

Hello Friends, Today we will go through another short story that may change your mindset about your life…. Go through it!!!

A long time ago, there was a man named Jack who always thought too much. He was always worried about everything, from what he was going to wear to work to whether or not he had turned off the cooker. Jack’s thoughts were always going fast, and he couldn’t seem to stop them.

Jack was given a promotion at work one day, but he started to worry about it right away. He was worried about whether or not he was qualified for the new job and could handle the extra responsibilities. Even though Jack had doubts, he decided to take the promotion and do his best.

Over time, Jack realised that he was actually doing well in his new job. He was able to keep up with the extra work, and he even liked the new challenges that came with his job. But Jack couldn’t get rid of the feeling that he wasn’t good enough, even though things were going well. He didn’t stop worrying about everything and always second-guessed himself.

One day, Jack’s boss saw that he was having trouble and asked him what was going on. Jack was honest with his boss and told him that he had trouble with overthinking and self-doubt. His boss listened to him carefully and then told him something that would change his life.

“Jack,” he said, “you need to learn to trust yourself. You are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for. Instead of constantly doubting yourself, why not focus on all the things you have done well? You have already done so much, and you should be proud of yourself for that?”

Jack thought about what his boss said, and he began to change the way he thought. He started to think about all the good things in his life and worry less about the small stuff. He still had moments of doubt and fear, but he was able to get past them by thinking about everything he had already done.

Jack’s confidence grew over time, and he was able to do even more. He realised that he was holding himself back by overthinking and doubting himself all the time. The more he believed in himself and his skills, the better he did.

The lesson of the story is that you should have faith in yourself and what you can do. Overthinking and self-doubt can stop you from doing great things, but if you focus on your strengths and successes, you can get it beyond these bad habits and do great things. Believe in yourself, take chances, and don’t give up on your dreams.
